Sorel Boots for a Snowy Winter

Temperatures have barely hit the 60s, and this southern girl is already worried about the New York winter. I'm on a mission for snow boots that are cozy and chic, and I've heard from a few snowpocalypse veterans that a pair of Sorels could be my new go-to shoes. Now  I just have to decide which pair strike my fancy.
Readers, what do you think? Do you have Sorel boots? Any suggestions on sizing? What do you wear when it snows?

  1. Yes, I'm a New Yorker and I love my Sorel boots! I believe mine are the Caribous. They fit true to shoe size, at least in my case (I'm a size 5 in shoes, my boots are also size 5). They're very comfy for snow boots, and have great traction- traction is VERY important! Although nothing helps you when it's ice you're dealing with...lets hope its not an icy winter like last year.

  2. Love Sorels!! I have the Joan of Arctic style in black, and they've kept me going through Minnesota blizzards and ice storms. They're amazing! We also carry them at the shoe store I work at, and I'd say they size a little big. I went a half size down and there's still enough room for a thick sock.
